House B With A Glass Pivot Door Unites The Home And The Garden.

From the street-side entry to the living room of 'home B' in Sao Paulo, Brazil, a continuous concrete wall stretches. A big glass pivot door also opens up to a private courtyard at the site's front, integrating home and garden and establishing the tone for this light-filled dwelling designed by AR Arquitetos.

The first level is the social hub of the house, including living, dining, and kitchen areas. Because to the presence of a void on the upper level, the entryway has a double-height space. A double vehicle garage and utility room are also located on the first floor, near to the street side of the home.

The upper level has four bedrooms, while the smaller third floor has a rooftop studio with views of the garden and trees.

The upper level has a micro-perforated metal sheet with precise apertures that surround the landscape, providing a seamless contrast between handcrafted and technology, overlapping tonalities and textures.

A studio on the roof opens into the garden and overlooks the trees. The existence of an aperture on the top storey creates a double-height entry through which the entrance and the plaza in front can be seen.
